"'Reclaim The Beat' by Defleshed"

One of the stand-out bands of 2005 has to be the fiery Defleshed. Their latest masterpiece, "Reclaim The Beat" [Candlelight Records], is one of the most spirited works of Swedish Death Metal ever made. Harsh, relentless, and full of ripping, jagged hooks, this opus bleeds brutality in an arterial spray.

Defleshed combines tight, razor sharp guitars with frenzied rhythms and twisted grooves. Their vocals are a raspy growl, tinged with an acidic edge. Defleshed take Extreme Metal to a new level of aggression.

The best of these visceral cuts includes the cataclysmic crunch of "Chain Reaction," "Stripped To The Bone," the roaring "Aggroculture," and a blistering cover of Motley Crue's "Red Hot." Defleshed is a ferocious engine of brilliant destruction....

In gory summary, Defleshed takes a quick body count and keeps right on killing. Forget the over-hyped Shadows Fall, get Defleshed. Stay savage. Farewell.
