"Bayside (Self-Titled)"

Emocore with a snap, crackle, bludgeon-that's Bayside. With a powerful, melodic style that makes stand above the fray, Bayside does it well. Their 2005 self-titled Victory Records opus is a rip-roaring ride into the caustic heart.

Bayside has a clean, midrange vocal assault. Loose rhythms, and a euphonious guitar sound that bleeds a dark melancholy, Bayside has a remarkable depth. This is what Emocore should be.

The best cuts include "Blame It On Bad Luck," the bleak and powerful "Tortures Of The Damned," "Half A Life," and the stark "Existing In A Crisis (Evelyn)." Bayside is the revelation that there is a beauty in the downfall.

Overall, Bayside is a great band in a busy genre. They are worth noticing. Stay savage. Farewell.

Related Bands: My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eats World,
Finch, A.F.I., Matchbook Romance, Fall
Out Boy, Alkaline Trio, etc.

Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION.
