"'The Struggle' by The Unheard Of" by Bill Vogel III
September 22, 2005 A.D.
From some of the stray fragments of the underground favorite Two Hit Creeper comes the new band The Unheard Of. Their self-released 2005 opus, "The Struggle," is a heady Alternative Metal with a swaggering sensibility.
The Unheard Of is a unique mix of stark Metal stomp and melodic, sometimes gangling Pop-tinged Alternative with a Grunge Metal foundation. Edgy and euphonious, The Unheard Of is beautifully bruising at moments. Clean vocals evanesce into sublime momentum.
The Unheard Of is heavy, but not brutal. They're more atmospheric than aggressive....
The best songs include the surreal intensity of "Your Face," "Beautiful," and the thunderous roll of "Sail To The Edge Of Your Mind." The Unheard Of has a sorrowful beauty.
In summary, The Unheard Of has an ethereal intensity all their own. Stay savage. Farewell.

Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION.
