"'Undoing Ruin' by Darkest Hour"
by

August 9, 2005 A.D.

In any truth can be found some darkness. Finding beauty and brutality of this wisdom, Darkest Hour has created a monumental style and reputation. Their 2005 opus, "Undoing Ruin" [Victory Records], is their finest yet. Aggression has risen again....

Highly melodic and powerful, Darkest Hour pioneered the now popular hybridization of Metalcore and Melodic Swedish Death Metal. And they still the archetype standard of the genre.

Darkest Hour fuses melodious guitars with shrill growled vocals, catchy grooves, and bone-crushing intensity that few even dare to attempt to equal. Furious and bleeding pure brutality, Darkest Hour is beyond cataclysmic.

The best of these savage glories includes the severe epic "Low," "Convalescence," the ethereal instrumental "Ethos," "Tranquil," and "These Fevered Times." Darkest Hour is pure, primal genius.

In conclusion, Darkest Hour has created one of the BEST of 2005 with "Undoing Ruin." Let the darkness shine. Stay savage. Farewell.
