"'Enemy Of God' by Kreator" by Bill Vogel III
April 27, 2005 A.D.
Returning with a fury, German Death Thrash legends Kreator have unleashed a beast. Their 2005 opus, "Enemy Of God" [SPV/Steamhammer Records], is as relentless as earlier, classic releases. Kreator is reborn.
Playing their Classic brand of German Style Death Metal, they assault the senses in a full-on barrage of Thrash rage. (German Style is similar to Swedish Death, but less intricate and less melodious.) Raspy growls charge across walls of blast-beats, with frenzied rhythms burying the quiet end. Kreator is Old School cool....
Tracks of killer note include "Murder Fantasies," "Under A Total Blackened Sky," the ferocious snarl of "Enemy Of God," and "Voices Of The Dead." Kreator still has an edge worthy of today's fire.
Overall, Kreator is a pleasant reminder of past brutality. And they can still hold their own. Stay savage. Farewell.

Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION.
