"'Immersed' by Sinai Beach" by Bill Vogel III
April 14, 2005 A.D.
Southern California is THE PLACE right now for the emergence of great Metalcore bands. Sinai Beach is the latest to rise from the ranks of a scene that produced such immense talents as the Hoods, and Atreyu. Their 2005 sophomore bruiser, entitled "Immersed" [Victory Records], screams of sheer, harsh excellence.
Sinai Beach burns with a primal glory; shrill growls crawl through blasting, furious instrumentals. A little drone sharpens the raw edges, as thunderous guitar roar enjoins with rolling rhythm assault. And their positive lyrical approach adds a nice, less implemented angle to the Metalcore genre. Sinai Beach is a solid, severe Hardcore act with no hesitations.
The most notable of these beasts includes the punishing hurt of "The Stagnate," "Hellblaze," the crushing "The God I Would Be," "His Chosen Fate," and "Apocalypse." Sinai Beach is perfectly fierce.
In summary, Sinai Beach is a powerful Metalcore act that is worthy of their scars. Stay savage. Farewell.

"'Mutual Annihilation' by Negative Creeps" by Bill Vogel III
April 7, 2005 A.D.
Grimy and guttural, the Negative Creeps are an edgy type of Grindcore/Metalcore for the new age. Their 2005 opus, "Mutual Annihilation" [The End Records], is a solid dose of blunt force Metalcore trauma twisted as an undertaker's smile. No frills or experimental nonsense, Negative Creeps is just great, straight-on aggression.
With a raw-edged lilt and enough rock-n-stomp hook to keep the listener's interest, Negative Creeps is like fusing together Hatebreed and Entombed. Thick grooves, powerful growled vocals, dense guitars, and frenzied rhythms are the modus operandi. Negative Creeps keep it intense, and crushing.
The best of these shredders includes the thunderous rolling barrage of "Lateral Losses," "Human Crossbreed," the jackhammer assault of "Methods Of Dissonance," and "Eyeball Drilling." Negative Creeps are relentlessly fierce.
Overall, the Negative Creeps are a worthy Grind/Metalcore band with an enthralling style. This one is as sharp and efficient as a razorblade. Stay savage. Farewell.
