"'Adicción, Tradición, Revolución' by Voodoo Glow Skulls" by Bill Vogel III
February 18, 2005 A.D.
From the genre of Skacore returns the Voodoo Glow Skulls with their 2004 opus, "Adicción, Tradición, Revolución" [Victory Records]. While this is pretty lightweight as far as Hardcore crunch (as in virtually none), there are some interesting tracks for the true Skacore fanatics. (You know who you are.)
Clean Punk vocals, tons of horns, and enough Reggae to make Bob Marley flinch is the modus operandi here. It's mellow but catchy. Voodoo Glow Skulls fans will be well pleased.
Tracks of interest include the snappy "Ghetoblaster," "Adicción, Tradición, Revolución," "Smile Now, Cry Later," as well as their amusing cover of Guns 'N' Roses' "Used To Love Her." The Voodoo Glow Skulls are unique.
Overall, the Voodoo Glow Skulls plummet masterfully ahead with "Adicción, Tradición, Revolución." Stay savage. Farewell.
Related Bands: Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, Edna's Goldfish, etc.
Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION.
