"'Amplifier Worship' by Boris"

Gut-wrenching, soulful, and as heavy as 13 tons of cement-these are the things that make Boris great. Their 2003 reissue of "Amplifier Worship" [Southern Lord Records] is like one huge, cosmic nausea fit. You can literally feel the reverberation in your guts.
This Japanese band creates gargantuan slabs of Droning Doom Metal, mixing soft and crushing elements juxtaposed through long, meandering soundscapes. Clean vocals are sharpened against shrieking growls. This is Doom for the true Gloom Freak, not for the fainthearted wannabe.
The most amazing of these 5 mountainous cuts includes the epic "Hama," "Kuruimizu," and the sickening slither of "Vomitself." Boris is crushing.
In summary, Boris has built their kingdom in the ruinous places. And it is a wonder to behold such a beautiful downfall. Stay savage. Farewell.

Keep the faith, and the AGGRESSION. War.
